Nick White, Sr. Mortgage Banker

Nick White

Sr. Mortgage Banker

NMLS #131806

Nick first started in the mortgage business in 2001 as a loan officer. After a short time, he was promoted to banking center manager and held that title for about four years. While he loved managing people and helping them improve, he always missed doing what got him into this business in the first place, which is helping people achieve the dream of home ownership. Since being a banking center manager, he has worked for a few mortgage banks and spent time as a mortgage broker.

The process of obtaining a mortgage has become so complex in recent years, that most people would rather have a root canal. Nick would like to create an experience where the client knows why we ask for certain things so that they can actually learn during the process rather than become frustrated with constantly changing guidelines, red tape, etc. This helps make closings more enjoyable, not only increasing his chances for a referral in the future, but also reflecting positively on the realtor that referred the client to him in the first place. He also takes great pride in being proactive rather than reactive. Spotting potential problems before it’s too late can make a very big difference between being a successful mortgage banker and an unsuccessful one.

Nick has seen a lot of change in this industry in the last 14 years and anticipates even more changes in the future. While many mortgage bankers fear change and are leaving the business, Nick continues to look forward to coming to work each day. The laughs and smiles at the closing table make it all worth it!

Nick is backed by his amazing team of Christy Fike and Jenny Thurston. Christy has been Nick’s dedicated processor for over 10 years and is one of the very best at what she does. Jenny joined the team in 2017 as a processing and marketing assistant and has excelled since day 1. Jenny is a quick learner, super responsive and up to any challenge. Their goal as a team is to make each client feel like they’re our only client, which isn’t easy in this competitive and very busy market.  Nick and his team like to make it look easy, though!
